The project for HOUSEBREAKERS centered on evolving a raw, high-energy techno identity into a functional brand system. The primary goal was to take the signature "X" typography and modify its architecture to ensure it maintained its aggressive, industrial edge across a diverse range of physical applications.
The Evolution: From Concept to Product
- The Original (The Raw Edge): The original logo (shown on the T-shirt back) features heavy textures and intricate, distressed edges. It is designed for maximum impact on large-scale prints, capturing the aggressive energy of the techno scene.

- The Modification (The Scalable Solution): For smaller applications like the cap, the original's fine detail threatened legibility. I developed a refined variation (the grey version) by simplifying the letterform geometry. This "cleaner" version maintains the industrial aesthetic while ensuring the logo remains sharp and recognizable at any size.
- Strategic Application: * T-Shirts: Utilized the high-detail original in white-on-black for a bold, "underground" statement piece.
- Headwear: Implemented the modified grey version on the white trucker hat, creating a premium look that avoids the visual clutter of the distressed version on a small surface.

The Result
A versatile identity that scales seamlessly. By maintaining the central red focal point across all versions, the brand remains cohesive whether it’s a high-contrast back-print or a subtle, clean-cut accessory.
